Frequently asked questions
Twenty straight answers about how we work. If yours is not here, call (224) 716-4991 and ask.
Booking & scheduling
How do I book my first clean?
Call (224) 716-4991 or send the quote form. We will ask about bedrooms, bathrooms, pets and what is bothering you most, then send an itemised quote within one business day. If you accept, we book a date. There is no deposit and nothing to sign.
How far in advance should I book?
For recurring service, usually a week or two. For one-time and deep cleans, same-week availability is common. Move-out cleans at the end of the month are the exception. Those fill fastest, so give us two to three weeks if you can.
Do I need to be home?
No, and most recurring clients are not. Once we have been out a few times, most give us a lockbox code, a garage code or a key we hold on a numbered tag with no address attached. You are welcome to be home if you prefer. It makes no difference to how we clean.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Give us at least 24 hours' notice and there is no charge at all. Inside 24 hours we may charge a partial fee, because the slot has usually already been staffed and cannot be refilled. Life happens, so call us and we will work it out.
Is there a contract?
No. Recurring service continues until you tell us to stop, and stopping costs nothing. We would rather keep clients because the work is good than because leaving is expensive.
Pricing & payment
How much will my clean cost?
A standard clean for a typical home in our area runs $150–$275 per visit, and a one-time deep clean $300–$600. Where you land depends mostly on bathroom count, condition and how often we come. Call us on (224) 716-4991 and we will give you a firm number in about five minutes. See our pricing page for what moves it.
Why is the first clean more expensive?
Because it is a different job. The first visit clears accumulated build-up that later visits simply maintain. Once your home is on a rhythm, each visit gets shorter and easier, which is why we usually suggest starting with a deep clean and dropping onto recurring service from a clean baseline.
How and when do I pay?
After the clean, not before. We accept card, check or cash, and recurring clients can keep a card on file to be charged automatically after each visit.
Do you charge extra for travel?
No. Every community on our areas page is inside our standard service area at the same rate.
Should I tip?
It is genuinely appreciated and never expected. Our cleaners are paid properly whether or not you tip, so please do not feel any obligation.
On the day
What time will you arrive?
We book an arrival window rather than an exact minute, because traffic and the job before yours are not perfectly predictable. For recurring clients the window is consistent visit to visit, and we will call or text if we are running behind.
Do I need to do anything before you arrive?
Nothing, though clearing surfaces of items you want cleaned underneath makes a real difference, because we clean around whatever is left in place. Please do not pre-clean. That is what you are hiring us for.
What about my pets?
Pets are completely fine and our cleaners are used to them. Tell us their names and any quirks when you book. If a pet is anxious around vacuums or strangers, most owners find it easiest to keep them in one room while we work.
What products do you use?
We bring everything, matched to the surfaces in your home: pH-neutral on hardwood and luxury vinyl plank, stone-safe on natural stone, and appropriate chemistry on grout. Fragrance-free and low-toxicity options are available at no extra charge; ask once and it becomes a permanent note on your home.
Can you use my products instead?
Yes. Leave them out with a note and we will use them. Owners of older homes often know their finishes better than any general rule does.
Trust & guarantees
Are your cleaners background-checked?
Every cleaner who enters a client's home has passed a criminal background check before their first visit. No exceptions.
Are you insured and bonded?
Yes to both. If your condominium or townhome association requires a certificate of insurance before a vendor works on site, send us their contact details and we will file it with them directly.
What if something is missed or damaged?
For anything missed, tell us within 24 hours and we return and re-clean that area free, with no argument and no invoice. For damage, tell us straight away. We are insured, and we would far rather resolve it properly than have you discover we made it difficult.
Will I get the same cleaner each time?
That is what we schedule for, and it is central to how we work. If your regular cleaner is ill or on vacation we will tell you in advance, and whoever covers works from the detailed notes kept on your home.
How do you handle my keys and codes?
Keys are held on numbered tags with no address, name or identifying information attached. Lockbox and garage codes live in your client record and are shared only with the cleaner assigned to your home.
